This morning I woke up with zero appetite and feeling super yucky. I didn't want to eat anything but I knew I needed something in my belly. I was looking through cookbooks and realized I FINALLY had all 3 (sad that I never had 3 ingredients at the same time) ingredients to make the Banana Date Shake in How It All Vegan! which I've been wanting to try since I first read the cookbook.
It was really good! I garnished the top with a sprinkling of shredded coconut and cinnamon. It was very sweet so I'm glad I halved the recipe and made a small portion of it because my tummy can't handle much right now :(
And how cute is my cupcake mug? It is a small mug so I don't really use it for coffee but I'm glad I finally got to use it!
I'll be in bed most of the day trying to not feel yucky but I'll definitely photograph the rest of my meals and get a full post in later. :( boo for feeling yucky!
Since you're not feeling up to par, I'm not gonna but your chops for not being able to tell a dog from a cat. Now please don't bust mine for not knowing which particular cookbook this post refers to...
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm such a mess today. I thought I put the name of the cookbook, I'll edit it into the post but it is How It All Vegan! Jeez I need to step away from the keyboard lol sorry.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that is funny that it took a while to have all those ingredients on hand, but it does sound delicious. I really don't pay that cookbook enough attention. Love the coconut topping AND that super cute mug!
ReplyDeleteI know, I always have bananas, but never frozen and on a whim i decided to save some over-ripe bananas by freezing them. I got dates the last time I went to Whole Foods to experiment with homemade larabars so it all came together! It was delicious but sweet...I'm thinking about freezing them into popsicles though for a summer dessert treat. The coconut added nice texture too! I LOVE my mug, it was a gift so I don't even know where to get more!
