After the gym I attempted to combine my green smoothie with my protein shake. Bad idea. I was too busy trying to get it down to take a pic. Trust me, you didn't miss anything.
At around noon I ate an apple but again, no pic because you've all see apples before.
Lunch was this gorgeous plate of yum. Grape tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, hummus, a few roasted brussels sprouts and some crackers. So good.
Fresh chopped!
For dinner I made a huge chopped salad. I used spinach, cucumber, carrot, sun dried tomato and topped with a half of a gorgeous, perfectly ripe and creamy avocado.
For "dessert" I'm having a Kris Carr approved snack of air popped popcorn. I popped it up to snack on while I watch the UFC prelims in a few minutes. I topped mine with a light sprinkling of sea salt and some nooch. Yum! This is the first time I used my air popper even though I bought it ages ago and it worked really well! Good to know ;)
Hope you all have a great night! I'm off to watch the fights!
OH Man, makes me think I need to do the cleanse thing again! Looks good!
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Unfortunately my cleanse is on hold for now. Got super sick :(
DeleteWhat air popper do you own? And is it really any better than making popcorn on the stovetop? Glad you didn't hurt yourself on the stairs. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe popcorn maker says "Nostalgia Electronics" on it. I got it so long ago I don't have the box. It is basically a mini old school popcorn maker. I'll take a pic and post it when I'm better. I like it because I don't have to use butter or oil on my popcorn but you definitely have to season it.
DeleteAhhh, popcorn with nooch, one of my all time favorite night time snacks. My legs are killing me tonight after two days in a row of working out. I need to learn about stretching :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, just got CSD on my Kindle.
The popcorn with nooch was delicious. I am super sore across my back and in my arms from some of the rounds of boxing and ground and pound I did yesterday. It's a great feeling to be sore after a good workout.
DeleteCan't wait to see what you think of CSD.
eek! Hope your next attempt at a green protein shake is better. I put frozen banana in with mine to make them edible.
ReplyDeleteTry not to hurt yourself! xxx
Thanks Claire. Frozen bananas are always a great addition to protein or green smoothies. Green smoothies on hold for a bit now though.
DeleteThat salad looks to die for:) I am curious, what crackers are those? They also look super delish. Hope the fights were great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! The salad was delicious, adding avocado is always a great touch. The crackers are "Mary Gone Crackers" in the caraway flavor. Vegan and gluten free. Couldn't focus on the fights cuz I got a gnarly headache. Major bummer.
DeleteThe PPV fights were soo good! haha Those Brazilians are nuts. So many knock outs! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous I didn't get to see them. I could barely focus on the prelims too but from what I remember there were some pretty good fights. Lots of power, love it.
DeleteAnother fab day, Sarah! Woo hoo! I have rolled an ankle or two in my day, am so glad it wasn't serious. Salad looks so good!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ingrid! Definitely not a serious injury, just a spazzy moment.
