So lets check it out!
I thought these were awesome! They are DIY wood picture frames! You buy plain wood plaques and paint them whatever colors you want then mount the photos in the middle! I'm thinking about making a few with pictures of Delilah for my mom and my sister in law for mother's day.
Jar-o-lanterns! How adorable! I LOVE these I definitely will be making some for Halloween this year :)
Mason jar planters! I would also love to make these so I can grow some herbs :) Maybe I'll look into it more when the summer comes.
How cool is this?! It is called bubble painting. All you do is put some food coloring into bubbles and blow the bubbles onto a canvas. This will be happening very soon!
The raw materials for...
... friendship bracelets! I actually find it really relaxing to make these and while I'm not great at it (I can only make the simple ones) it's a fun little project for a rainy day! Thanks to Sophie for reminding me about these!
I have a bunch of errands to run before I head into work this afternoon. I have to get my earrings taken out for my MRI which is annoying but it has to be done. Luckily there is a Michael's right near the tattoo shop I'm going to so I may go peruse in there and pick up some thread. I think canvases are on sale so I may grab those if they are too :) I'm sure I'll be overwhelmed by all of the thread choices, I have no clue what colors I want to use!
Hope you liked my craft edition of "Stuff I'm Into!" I'll be keeping you posted on anything I actually get around to making.
Hope you all have a great day!
The jar o' lanterns are so cute! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI like the friendship bracelets too. I used to make them alllll the time. They are pretty calming to make.
Aren't they awesome!? I can't wait for October!
DeleteI agree, it is kind of mindless work but a good mindless. Very relaxing and you get something fun out of it! I got some thread to make one but I have to go back because I was overwhelmed, as expected. Only $.35 each though so it is an inexpensive hobby :)
Ahhh I am making those jar-o-lanterns! Found the link and pinned it for October :)
ReplyDeleteI also love friendship bracelets- I used to make them all the time, even as recently as 2 years ago. It's something I do in spurts- do it obsessively for a couple months then forget about it lol.
Do you have the link for those mason jar planters?
Awesome links. We have such similar taste, you should do a post like this most often. Gave me some great ideas!

I am so excited for the jar-o-lanterns! Fall is my favorite and it just made me feel really happy to see them! I can't wait to make them!
DeleteThat's the same with me! It as actually my personality, to be obsessive about things. I don't think it's necessarily a good things but it makes me work very hard so I guess in a way it can be. I find a project and I have tunnel vision on it and then I get bored and forget it lol.

I don't think I'll mount mine but I'd like to try and grow herbs this summer and mason jars would be fun!
Thanks, I'm so glad you liked the post! I'll definitely try to post some more things as I find them :)
Great post! I've been wanting to do posts like this for a while now. A few other blogs I read do them from time to time and I just love reading them.
ReplyDeleteI used to make friendship bracelets a lot when I was a teenager & got pretty fancy with them. They were fun! The plaque idea is fantastic. Do you just glue the photos on, then put some type of lacquer over them?
Any type of craft with mason jars is always awesome and the bubble art sounds fun! We have a huge jar of bubble stuff sitting in the garage....
Thanks Molly, I'm so glad you liked it! :)
DeleteOooh I'm jealous of your fanciness, mine are pretty basic, ha! From what I understand you paint the wood with whatever color you like, glue the photo on and then seal it. I got Modge Podge so hopefully that works! The ones in the photo look a little distressed too so I bet you can distress it a bit for a cool look.
Love mason jars! I got some canvases so I just need the bubbles! Can't wait to try this!
So much fun! I have a few crafty ideas for the summer, including trying to make earrings. Speaking of earrings, I hope you had success with taking your out! The good news is that you'll be one step closer to the MRI appointment.
ReplyDeleteI will leave the friendship bracelets to you! I was never any good at making those, but craft work in general is very cathartic. Yet another little project for the summer!
I love being crafty, I feel like I'm doing something productive :) The funniest thing is I have 5 piercings in my ear, but I don't have the lobes pierced! Anyway, I had the jewelry changed from hoops (the ones that are a giant pain in the ass to get out) to curved barbells so I should be able to get them out myself.
DeleteLove summer projects. Doesn't looks like I'll be as busy with weddings this summer which sucks but I'll be able to craft it out! Ha!
I freakin' LOVE friendship bracelets. I was the Queen of Friendship Bracelets at summer camp as a kid. I could make any style you wanted, including the boxy ones with the plastic lanyard string (do you know what I'm talking about?). Summer and friendship bracelets are a perfect combo. Now you got me wanting to make friendship bracelets!
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving tomorrow for a 3-day work trip. I told Chris not to eat my veggie chips if they arrive while I'm away! :) Hope you're having a good week.
Yeeeeeeeeees! I remember lanyards quite well! It provided hours of entertainment on the bus when I went to summer camp. :)
DeleteHave a safe and fun (can work trips be fun?) trip! Haha that's awesome, hopefully he listens ;) Have a great time and a good end to your week!
bubble painting! can't wait to try this with jackson and livi :)
ReplyDeleteThey'll love it!
DeleteThis was enjoyable. Your Mom & SIL will love their Mothers Day gift.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shen! I hope so :)
