3 miles? No problem!

OK maybe it did suck a little bit but I did it! I'm constantly surprising myself with my ability and it is really exciting!  I know 3 miles doesn't seem like a lot but I'm not even close to being a runner.  I find it boring and tedious and I would fight it so much.  So this was a huge accomplishment for me!

Now to the noms!

Breakfast (post-workout): I added two tablespoons of chocolate brown rice protein powder to the banana date shake I made the other day.  I won't lie, it wasn't my favorite combo and it was a bit chunky but it did the trick. And tiki glasses make everything awesome!

Lunch: Rice and beans with salsa topped with avocado.

Afternoon snack: Iced coffee and an apple.

Dinner: Stir-fry.

After dinner: Handful of cashews.

Overall a super yummy day. Hope you all had a great one!

  1. Awesome job with the running. I did XCountry in high school but that was so long ago and I really am not in shape for it anymore. 3 miles is definitely a big deal, so congrats!
I just had a handful of raw cashews too and am trying not to head back for more...

  3. My husband and I just started walking Monday, so I would say that you are doing great with the running! :o) I'm going to work my way up to running a 5K. I see that in the very far future of next year though. ha Looks like you had some good food too. I could go for an iced coffee right now myself.

  4. Thanks for the support ladies :) I see everyone talking about how they run like 12 miles a day and it is just crazy to me...and not being a runner ever it is daunting and I can't believe I actually did it. Definitely motivation to keep going!

Michelle - I had 2 huge coffees today. So bad but so good!

  5. I have to buy that Rice Protein. thanks for the reminder. I've never been able to run more than one mile. Pathetic I am.

  6. LOL to be honest I prefer the pea protein. It blends easier, isn't as grainy and has a lot more flavors. Before I forced myself to do these multiple mile runs i'd never go more than .5 straight. It is all in your head, I've learned this lol.
