Catching Up!

Thank you all so much for reading that long post yesterday. I'm glad that I decided to write it. :)

Now I have a bunch of pics to catch up on so here we go!  These are some of the meals I've had over the past 2 days. I didn't get pics of a few of them.

GF English muffin with peanut butter, banana and cinnamon. Noms.

Dolma, hummus, carrot and one of my farmer's market tomatoes. So good!

My raw choc brownie bar. Not shockingly I liked this one better than the energy bar...I really liked the large chunks of walnuts in it.  The energy bar was really good but I didn't feel all that energized by it. They are very similar to a Jocolat bar.

I tried the SO Delicious Coconut Milk yogurt in Strawberry Banana. It is definitely a step up from soy yogurt but it was really sweet. It is good in a pinch but it won't be part of regular rotation. I'm curious about the greek style yogurt that is supposed to be coming out soon.  I ate this with a banana.

My very last honeycrisp apple. Sweet and crispy. Welcome back fall <3

Hope you all had a great weekend. I have a total case of the Mondays. I may or may not be drinking a glass of Kosher wine out of my Andy Cohen Mazel mug. It is all about class here! ;) Enjoy your night!

  1. Obviously I am missing something with this Andy Cohen Mazel...
I'm excited for the vegan greek yogurt too, but I've never had real greek yogurt; have you?
What kind of hummus do you use? It always looks so good and creamy.

  2. Lol I don't even know how to explain the mug. Andy Cohen pretty much runs the Bravo network and he has this Watch What Happens Live show and he is ridiculous and hilarious and one of his things is the "Mazel of the Week." They started selling Mazel mugs and t-shirts and whatnot...both of which were given to me for my bday last year.

I tried regular greek yogurt back in the day and wasn't a huge fan of it but I'm definitely willing to give it another try all veganlike and whatnot. I'm also hoping to be able to make really good tzatziki sauce with it.

I use either Sabra brand or Whole Foods brand. The one above is Sabra. I prefer to make my own but sometimes convenience is necessary.

  3. Ah, yes - Andy Cohen. I do wish he'd make Bravo available to those of us non-cable watchers. I turned in my box a year and a half ago, and while I don't miss too much - I do miss the Housewives. I'm sure Luann would not approve of wine in a mug. ;)

Bring on the apples - that and all things pumpkin (with cinnamon, of course!) really make me love autumn.

  4. Your banana slices are very elegant looking. I love the look of all the food; you eat to healthy and light. I'm looking forward to the greek-style yogurt too.

Enjoy the wine if you decide to go for it. Mondays and wine just go together.

  5. Ingrid - Hahaha omg Luann would be SO bummed out by it. WHich makes me love the fact that I did it even more. Elegance is learned my dear. I love love love the fall, my bday falls on the calendar's first day of fall (even though the solstice is technically the 23rd)...so much so that when I'm in the best shape I feel I can be in I'm getting a fall themed half sleeve tattoo ;) If you like pumpkin make sure you check out tomorrow's post (assuming I have everything I need to make the breakfast I have in mind).

Rose - Thanks! I try very hard, but we all have our moments of weakness. It's always a struggle and about balance :) Definitely did go for the wine and I definitely enjoyed it, thanks!

  6. I agree with Rose, those banana slices look so fancy! I love them! Definitely different from the usual round circles, haha.

I'll have to look out for those Raw Bars. They seem pretty good from what I have seen of them on here!

  7. Thanks! The truth about slicing the banana that way is that I'm far too impatient to arrange little circles on my breakfast and slicing them this way makes larger slices for us lazy folk ;) The raw bars are yummy but apparently hard to find! I'd never heard of them until I saw the sample table at Whole Foods.

  8. Hi Sarah! Thank you for trying our Strawberry Banana Coconut Milk Yogurt. We think you're really going to love our new Greek-style yogurt. It is super creamy and has significantly less sugar than other cultured products. It will be available in six flavors, and we think you're going to love cooking and baking with the plain and the vanilla! (Think tzatziki sauce!)

Your post has made me hungry for dolmas, so I must go and find some asap!

  9. Gack! If you can drink Manischewitz, you can drink Kombucha. The gag reflex is much stronger with the Manischewitz.

  10. I had an English muffin with almond butter and banana over the weekend..... ha
I still want one of those apples. My husband said we don't have them around here though. Boooooo

  11. Gail - I have no clue how you found me but that is pretty awesome :) Can't wait to try the Greek yogurt, when does it come out?

Shen - Eww Manischewitz is gross, and not the ONLY kosher wine :) I don't like wine to begin with so I had a super sweet moscato.

Michelle - Yay lol so yum! Aww booo we'll have to figure out where to find those! Or just make a trip to NY ;)
