Half Day

Hey everyone. This is gonna be a quick post of what I've eaten in the first half of today. I'm feeling a bit yucky right now so I'm holding off on food until after my training session. I really want to cancel my session(s) (I have a double today) but with the 24 hour cancelation policy I'd lose two sessions instead of one and I just can't afford that. I'm gonna go and do my best.

So here is what I've eaten so far before my tummy started to hurt and the nausea set in :(

Pina Colada Smoothie

White grapefruit

Chopped salad.

Wish me luck getting through this hour and a half workout, I'm going to need it. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow feeling better.

  1. Feel better soon! Good luck with your workout and think healthy thoughts. I'm sure you'll be feeling much better tomorrow.

Everytime you write about the pina colada smoothie, I get "The Pina Colada Song (Escape)" stuck in my head: If you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain... :)

    1. Thanks Sage. I am pretty sure I caught a virus going around my family starting with my niece (so I can't be mad lol) and it passes in 12-24 hours. It is just a miserable 12-24 hours. I'm feeling the brunt of it and it is really terrible. The workout was tough but I got through it and hopefully I'll be ok to go all out on Thursday.

Haha that is a fun song to have stuck in your head! I'd be lying if I said I didn't think of it too ;)

  4. Oh no! Feeling nauseous is the worst, I hope it passed in time for your sessions. I'm also hoping your training sessions don't involve a lot of "up and down", which always makes things worse!

Pina Colada Smoothie is on the menu for tomorrow morning!!

    1. It is terrible, especially when it turns out to be a virus. You get what I'm saying I'm sure without stating the obvious (nausea + virus = miserable). I warned my trainer and we spent the time on technique. I learned quickly any contact or impact was a no go. I needed to stop a few times when the room started to spin. It was bad but he was really good about it.

Can't wait to see how you like the smoothie!

  5. Uh oh. I caught many horrific viruses from my neices and nephews when they were little...I hope it's not one of those kind...

    1. It is pretty bad. Even looking at food pictures is making me feel like crap. I think I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to comment on posts because I think everything will look a lot better to me when this passes. I can't even keep water down. Ugh.

    1. It was definitely rough. It seems to have passed for the most part. Still no appetite but at least the really horrible part seems to have passed. Still not going to work because it is incredibly contagious and I'm still feeling pretty crappy.

  7. Oh sorry you're feeling yucky. Here I thought the title would mean you had a half day off from work. :( You're such a warrior going to your training session anyway. I hope you're better soon so you can eat all that fabulous food you bought yesterday (I loved seeing your haul in the previous post!).

    1. Thanks. Oh I wish that were the case. The session was horrible and I kind of regret going but hindsight is 20/20. I agree, I hope that I can eat it too, although right now it definitely won't be happening. Glad you liked that post though!
