Check out the eats:
Breakfast: Post run I wanted a nice refreshing breakfast so I had a big ol' bowl of watermelon and grapes. It was delicious and perfect.
Midmorning: Iced coffee and a homemade lemon coconut date bar.
Lunch (unpictured): Hummus with falafel, tomato and cucumber.
Dinner: Big ass salad - green, carrot, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli and cucumber. Delicious!
So my Q&A didn't work out well...only had one question from The Shenandoah Vegan which was how can I like Couple's Retreat because it was an awful movie LOL. Sorry that made me laugh...I'm not saying it is a high quality movie or story line, but for some reason it makes me laugh and I like to watch it on a crappy rainy day or when I need a laugh :)
Have a great night!
Hi Sarah! The lemon coconut date bars sound amazing, I'll search through the archives and see if you've given away the recipe. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, I literally winced when I read about your heel spur - ouch! Hope the treatment isn't too long or too painful.
Hey! The lemon coconut bars are phenomenal, they taste so much fresher than a Larabar to me (and that says a lot because i LOVE larabars!). I got the recipe out of a cookbook and I don't like to republish their recipes but I found a similar one online! http://food.laurieashton.com/2009/09/lemon-coconut-larabars/ Use your favorite nuts, I like to use almonds.
ReplyDeleteThe heel spurs are not pleasant at all, I've been limping a lot lately but the trampoline has been amazing since I can still run with no impact :)
Yowch heel spurs are no fun. I'm surprised you can still trampoline.
ReplyDeleteI'm a tough cookie :) I have quite a few injury type things that should stop me in my tracks with all of my training but I love it so much that I just push through. The pain from the heel spur comes and goes so it is manageable.
ReplyDeleteA 'spur' anywhere sounds unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Vince Vaughn & Jason Bateman would be thrilled to know you enjoyed their movie.
